Classes
I can provide a variety of classes to meet your
individual needs, see below for more information.
It should be noted that learning will focus on
speaking and listening skills (usually considered most useful),
with only basic reading and writing. However, if reading and writing
skills are your target, let me know and I will make sure this is
the emphasis.
If you have any requirements which are not mentioned
here, please email to discuss. Alternatively, you can use
the contact form, I will be in contact
very shortly!
[ One-to-one personal classes
]
If you wish to learn Mandarin on a one-to-one
basis, then this is your best choice. A program of study will
be individually tailored to your needs, often using text books
and other materials to support your learning. Lessons can take
place either in the convenience of your own home or workplace,
or at my own premises.
[ Business ]
If your business has recognised the potential
benefits of having Mandarin speaking staff, then I will be able
to deliver a teaching program that will enable you to fulfill
this potential. Focus can be placed on 'business' Mandarin, or
more general learning if required.
Whether an intensive course is required, or longer
term learning, you can be assured that your staff will learn efficiently.
Lessons can take place at locations throughout the South East,
including London. Contact me to discuss your requirements.
[ Group Classes ]
If you would prefer to learn Mandarin in a group,
keep checking this page for details of future group classes. If
you wish to be contacted when schedules are finalised, contact
me expressing your interest.
Levels :
However you choose to learn Mandarin, whether in
a group or individually, you can rest assured that you will be learning
at a level appropriate to your ability. As a guide, levels are broadly
arranged as follows:
[ Beginner ]
Designed for those people who have a little or
no knowledge of Mandarin. A firm grounding in pronunciation will
be given before moving on to conversational skills.
[ Intermediate ]
If you already have some Mandarin ability and
are ready to move on to the next level, the intermediate level
will be for you. More complex grammar will be introduced, along
with a wider variety of vocabulary.
[ Advanced ]
An advanced student of Mandarin may wish to focus
on reading and writing skilld now that their speaking and listening
have been developed. Greater understanding of the language, including
the cultural background to it will be achieved. The path that
advanced learning takes can also be influenced by the interests
and aspirations of the learner.
